Cancellation policy

How cancellations work for bookings made through CMD CYBERSPACE SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS S.R.L.

1. What this policy covers

This page explains when a booking made through PickASlot can be cancelled, by whom, and what happens to any money owed. It complements the Terms of Service and the operator-specific rules shown next to each activity at booking time.

2. Our role

PickASlot is the technical intermediary between the guest and the venue operator. The actual contract is between the guest and the operator; cancellation conditions are set by the operator and disclosed before checkout.

3. Right of withdrawal (consumers)

Romanian consumer law (OUG 34/2014 art. 16(l), transposing Directive 2011/83/EU) excludes the standard 14-day right of withdrawal for leisure services tied to a specific date or time. By confirming a booking the guest acknowledges this exclusion via the click-through on the booking widget.

4. Operator cancellation rules

Each operator publishes its own cancellation window (for example: free up to 24 hours before, no refund inside 24 hours). The applicable rule is shown above the Confirm button and is binding on both sides once the booking is made.

5. How to cancel as a guest

Use the cancellation link in your confirmation email, or contact the operator directly using the phone or email on the venue page. PickASlot can help route the request: write to contact@pickaslot.io.

6. Refunds

Payments today are taken at the venue, not through PickASlot. If you paid the venue and then cancel within their refund window, the operator processes the refund directly. Online payments routed through PickASlot in future will be refunded to the original payment method within 14 days where the operator's rules allow.

7. No-show

If a guest does not arrive within the grace period set by the operator, the booking is marked as no-show and any amount agreed at booking remains due per the operator's rules.

8. Cancellation by the operator

When the operator cancels a confirmed booking (technical issue, double-booking, force majeure), the guest receives an email and any prepayment is refunded in full within 14 days, in line with OG 21/1992.

9. Dispute resolution

If you and the operator cannot agree, contact PickASlot at contact@pickaslot.io so we can mediate. As a consumer you may also use the ANPC SAL scheme (https://anpc.ro/ce-este-sal/) or the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform (https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/).
